What You’ll Learn

Develop confidence in haircutting with the systems we use. Our fundamental techniques will enable you to approach any hairstyle, texture, or density with skill. Learn to use clippers, scissors, combs, and other tools properly and efficiently. You’ll also gain a deep understanding of sectioning, fading, layering, graduation and finishing techniques.

Discover how to use social media to grow your business and attract clients effortlessly. Whether you’re starting from scratch or refining your skills, this training will give you the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to start your career behind the chair.

Barbering Course Schedule (8 Weeks - 2 Days per Week)

Week 1-2: Fundamentals & Basic Techniques

Day 1 (Tuesday):

  • Introduction to the course: Expectations, goals, and structure

  • Overview of barbering tools, sanitation, and handling basics

  • Introduction to hair types & textures

  • Light hands-on practice & Q&A

Day 2 (Wednesday):

  • Sectioning techniques & comb control

  • Introduction to fades (high, mid, low)

  • Blending & tapering techniques

  • Line-ups, edge work, and beard trimming basics

  • Hands-on practice with mannequins

Week 3-6: Developing Skills & Advanced Techniques

Day 1 (Tuesday):

  • Understanding client needs & styles

  • Graduation techniques: brushbacks, mullets, etc.

  • Hands-on mannequin work with instructor supervision

Day 2 (Wednesday):

  • Layering techniques: square, round, triangular layers

  • Practical training on cutting lines, over-direction (OD), and elevation

  • Hands-on work with models & mannequins

Week 6-8: Creativity & Branding

Day 1 (Tuesday):

  • Supervised model work: refining techniques

  • Creative demos: styling, refining, & length choices

  • Understanding when & why to add certain shapes

Day 2 (Wednesday):

  • Exploring industry trends & modern styles

  • Developing a personal brand in the barbering industry

  • Social media basics: building an online presence

  • Final hands-on session with live models

  • Course wrap-up & feedback
